Old stuff makes for some pretty interesting compositions, whether it’s decaying structures of some sort, or the rusty wall of a canal lock with deep historical and personal significance. Note to self: use caution when cruising the Plaquemine Locks in your party barge; some parts are fairly shallow and there’s not much room in some places to get turned around; the day that picture was taken, my uncle nearly ran us aground. And that was just the beginning of the excitement. Anyone else rescue a runaway golf cart from an alligator-infested waterway lately …? I’d rather deal with rust any way!
