cffc: urban erosion

If only these walls could talk! Looking closely, you can see the marks left behind by years of urban development … and erosion: at least three different periods of construction, destruction, and renewal. Was the giant window there first, or the half-height one? Was the initial opening the top portion, or the lower one? Why was it changed? Why concrete block rather than brick? It’s anyone’s guess. But the remaining brickwork may just tell the tale…
