Sometimes ‘mem’ry is a rose’…and other times, it’s a sunflower. I’m posting today’s FOTD in memory of my brother Wei-Young, whose genius and artistic skill were only outshone by his sunny personality; the world is a much darker place without him.

I remember the sleepless nights
a thousand miles apart
you in your office
and I in mine

I remember the conversations held without words:
M/I=σ/y=E/R
an answer to a question
…and a silent ‘up yours’ to society

Now there’s a hole in me that’s the shape of you
I wake up, paint my face, smile to the world
But you’ve left us all behind
So young, it’s not fair
